Yuuuuup. it sadly seems so. Series 1-4 were very brilliant in all aspects but after that, it seemed the writers were more concerned with cheap laughs and mindless alterations of the set characters rather than good writing. But then the question becomes, is it the writers' faults or has the sitcom concept simply become worn?

Or is it actually the fault of the fans who continued to watch which meant the show continued to get ratings therefore the network continued to employ the writers to write more episodes. If the fans don't watch then the series gets written to a conclusion, as long as the fans continue to support it the network will continue to run it. It did get a little past its prime as it continuted on but I would still say it was ok and I watched some episodes in the final couple of episodes but couldn't muster the interest to regularly watch it.

my fave programme! chandler is my favourite!

First 4 or 5 seasons were brilliant, very clever, but then the writing and concept went limp. But I can still gladly watch it.
