Just interested to know if people have a concern about having to financially support their children when they are adults and whether it is to the point where people are worried that their own financial freedom is going to be limited by their kids? A friend of ours has recently gone bankrupt at 65 due to financially supporting his kid who is 41 and choosing to go bankrupt himself to bail his kid out and prevent his kids credit from being ruined. (His wife's decision that he had to accept or break up the marriage over). I also know two families where the parents in their 70's have lost nearly all their retirement savings supporting their adult children who are constantly struggling. I posted a poll and over 70% of the respondents said that since they left home they are still financially relying on their parents for support. What are you experiences and what are your concerns about this?
