I went into Primark in Liverpool for the first time today. It only opened a short while ago, and I have avoided it so far as the queues were horrendous for the first few weeks. When I entered the store today, i uimmediately felt drained as it was very busy, very big, very brightly lit and so much stock to look at! I only had a quick look round, there was just too much to take in, but I couldnt fail to notice how cheap everything was, and some of it looked quite nice. Have you bought stuff there and does it wash well? At those cheap prices, you couldn't really be surprised if everything fell to bits after a few washes. I had received a jumper as a birthday present, wrong size, so I wanted to get a refund or a credit note. I asked directions to customer services ( I noticed there were lots of staff on the shop floor, which is useful if you have any problems.) The queue at Customer Services was horrendous as not only were people waitng for refunds, a lot of people were queueing to pay, and most of them had armfuls of stuff to pay for. And this is where I must give you a word of warning. If, ike me, you are after a refund or credit note and have no receipt - don't bother . You may wait as I did for 20 minutes in a roasting hot shop, only to be refused a refund or even a credit note. If you buy an item for someone else, either hold onto the receipt or give it with the gift, unless you are completely sure that what you bought will be entirely satisfactory. No receipt, no refund or credit note, which I think is very harsh and quite unreasonable and I am not quite sure if it is against the law or not to refuse a refund or at the very least give a credit note to buy something more appropriate. I don't think I will be rushing back to Primark for a while as I don't like their policy, and overall I wasn't over impressed with the goods I saw in the store. what has been your experience after all the hype?
