I've got myself and my 2 little boys in my family. I always buy fresh produce i.e. free-range eggs and fruit and veg thats locally produced, I always try to buy good quality meat e.g. free-range chicken, organic beef etc.(check out the reduced section!!!) I spend around £30-35 a week on food depending on what we eat that week. I always cook from scratch as I find this much cheaper and there is always enough left to freeze, therefore providing us with healthy, home-made "ready meals". So that weeks when money is really tight (as I am on IS) i.e. when bills need paying 2 weeks in a row, I can cut my food bill in half to about £15 as I only need to buy bread, milk, yougurts and fruit and veg. I also go to the supermarket every 4-6 weeks and buy non-perishables e.g. John Wests tinned tuna, cereal, pasta, quality tinned toms, Hi-Juice, biscuits, washing powder, washing up liquid etc...the cost of the non-perishable food items is around £40. So I estimate that in total (non-perishable and fresh weekly produce) I probably spend about £130 a month on food....some months this is cheaper as I quite often have months whereby we can practically live off whats in the freezer and cupboards and literally just buy fresh fruit and veg, milk, bread etc

I got up this morning and saw how beautiful the day was out there. I then had to get ready to go to work. I am sure that I am not the only one who does not want to be stuck indoor. This is a webcam of where I would like to be: http://denvoiles.org/dencam , on that beach with my little Jack Russell running around and my best friend or my mum. I could relax and have a chat and walk to the next village for a nice coffee and cake at a café. So where would you like to be right now and why?
