Does anyone else feel that political correctness in this country is getting out of hand? Fair enough, people who offensively racist, sexist, etc should be shamed out of their awful behaviour. But I personally feel that silly things are now not P.C to say. Someone I know was looking after a class of children, when some of them started tickling him etc as children do. He said "stop it you little monkey" and because one of the children was ethnic minority, the parents made an official complaint about him. "you little moneky" is such a general comment; I know he didn't mean it in an offensive way, and I also know he certaintly didn't mean it offensively! I'll probably get reprimanded for repeating this story; but seriously, does anyone else feel the same?

People are frightened to say what they really feel these days

Yes they should, i dont believe a foreigner has the right to come to this country, claim benefits, and not follow the rules.

Yeah I believe they should. If they want to live in this country, the least they can do is follow the rules and laws. If not, they obviously shouldn't be allowed to be part of our society. Think about it, if we went to a foreign country (more than likely outside of Europe) and broke the rules we would be punished very harshly! It's one rule for them and one for us! And if they can't follow our rules they shouldn't be allowed to enjoy all the benefits that this country has to offer to them

I'm new to the site and i have noticed that alot of people when answering a opinions tend to talk about themselves and not answer the opinion with helpful advice.....why are a soo many people self obsessed?

are usually the most insecure of all and while being quite selfish, are even more self-conscious.They often talk about irrelevant, trival things that people don't really want to know or care about. However, I think they do this to stop them from having to face the truth about their own personality. So while it is annoying when people constantly talk about themselves, and it is hard not to instantly switch off, I do try to be patinet with them as they often are the ones who needs the most attention.
