I believe if these ministers experienced the front line they would think through decisions with full knowledge at their disposal.

I left midwifery to raise a child on my own, to return to practice they want to charge 1500 for a 6 months at home course. On return to NHS i would have to pay £78 a year just to practice, get poor pay and work very unsociable hours.
Still would love to go back but can't afford it like many trained midwives out there, while babies continue to die from understaffing!
